March 2020 Brides!!

Ohhhh myyyyy gossssh!!!! We are 2.5 weeks away from our big day!!! How are you feeling?! What are you doing?! Are you calm and collected, or losing your shhh?! Are you and your fiancé fighting, or super mushy gushy?! How are your bridesmaids behaving? Family? Guests? Are you ready for planning to be over, or so sad that it’s about to be over? Are you ready for the big day?? How about the honeymoon?! How was your bachelorette party? Did you love your bridal Shower? How’s your dress fitting? Do you still love it?! Tell me everythiiinnnnggggg!!!!


Hollllyyy moly!! It hit me last week that we are in the final countdown! Like, we started with 15 months...and now THIS. IS. THE. MONTH!! Whaaaattttt?! 🤣🤣 I know I asked a million questions just now, but these are the things going through my mind, as we are 17 days away from our Big Day!! I have to say, thank God for WeddingWire!! I have used this app every step of the way for planning and it’s helped me not only stay on track, but ahead of the game and kept my stress level wayyy down. I’ve actually enjoyed wedding planning thanks to this genius “tool”! To the point that my friends are like “Girl, you have your shh together and are so calm, I’m so happy for you...’when I got married’...........” LOL what’s amazing is I’ve taken BREAKS from planning to LIVE outside of wedding planning and enjoy the process with my FH and bridesmaids! I lovvvveeedd my bachelorette party, best weekend of my life!! My bridal shower was gorgeous, I still love my dress, we can’t wait for our big day, but are definitely ready for it. We are confident in our vendors, happy with our venue, loving our super budget friendly decor, and so ready for the honeymoon! I will say, one terrible thing happened....(ok two) we had a major fight over uplighting. He wanted to keep what we bought, but I found battery powered uplighting that would not cause a tripping hazard, and a good backup plan jussssttt in case but it was $250 more on top of what we already paid for....and it was this whole big thing, but it’s settled and fine and whatever...it’s lighting (but still an important element) and I think we’re good....but the other big bad thing is the BUDGET tab on this app.....: I have been diligent (I mean Hawk Eye diligent) to update final costs, payments made, zeroing out things we didn’t need or have to pay for.....and 3 weeks before our date....the “pending” amount DID NOT MATCH what we still owe....like, $2,600 didn’t match!! As in, dude! We need to get a credit card ASAP to make final payments type of didn’t match! I know people go over budget all the time, but this. Was. Not. Our. Plan! So? Maybe, one “To-Do” I'd recommend adding to the checklist is to “track your budget and add funds”, because the easy-going, yea baby! We did it....kinda slapped me in the face when I double checked what was left “pending” compared to what was actually “pending” and I am not about to make this team of vendors wait!! They wouldn’t, and I wouldn’t put them in a position to...But all-In all.....We are ready! We’re excited, we’re doin the dang thang! How about you??
