Mama's Song

Future Mrs. Barker, on December 13, 2017 at 9:44 AM Posted in Planning 0 2

How can I incorporate a mothers song? I would really like to play Mama's Song by Carrie Underwood at some point for my mom during the ceremony or reception. Not for a dance, because she doesn't really dance. I also can't play it during the seating of the mothers because she is walking with my dad and I during my entrance into the ceremony.

Unless you are doing some particular activity during the song (dancing with her, entrance, etc.) you can play the song at any time but frankly, most will likely not notice it. If it's a slow song, just have it as one of the slow songs the DJ plays during the reception. You could have the DJ say: The bride would like to dedicate this dance to her mother.

Agree with @firstone. It would be useless to just play the song if you're not going to call attention to it in some way. Would you be willing to make an announcement before it plays to say it's dedicated to her for such and such reason?
