I'm not one who wears makeup (except for Halloween makeup!!!) But when I do, I prefer a more natural look, not like I got my face spackled on. How do you pick a makeup artist without spending a ton of money? I'm stressing out over this...and my dress...and his tux...and OMG mymoh and his bestie...oh god the kids clothes....gah!!!

If you have a bridesmaid or friend that's good at make up then you could always ask them too

I would start by looking on instagram honestly using #yourcitywedding and that helped me a lot. From there, start reaching out and asking for portfolios

I like the idea of asking a friend to do it if you have someone that you feel might do a good job. Another idea is to go on websites for local makeup people and look at their work. I’m not a big makeup person either and I certainly didn’t want it to look thick of heavy so I found someone that did airbrush makeup and it looked amazing. Each time she would put it on I could tell her if I wanted more or if that was enough because it went on in layers. It stayed all night in the Florida heat and was super light too. Good luck.

Nobody really does makeup, except fh niece. And she puts WAY too much on. I let her try out yesterday and OMG it was caked on and super good and just not good. I mean it looked alright it just wasn't flattering to me at all. Thanks for your suggestion!

I've been thinking about having someone airbrush me. I've never even seen it done Irl so I'll Google and see if I can come watch or if I can afford it, maybe have them do a quickie on me. Thanks!!

Don't get overwhelmed, just make one decision at a time! I've been there! As for makeup, ask your friends if they can recommend someone. I was able to book a guy who does makeup as a side job and because he was a good friend of my maid of honor, all he wanted for payment was gas money for travel and a bottle of liquor. Lol!

I'd plan on spending at least $70 on your makeup before trial, travel, or tip.
