Hi, does anyone know what the rules and regulation around makeup are during Covid? I live in NY and remember reading that facials were prohibited even as salons started reopening (this was as of July). Does anyone know how this affects makeup? Thanks!

Many makeup artists are getting certified for Covid regulations in order to continue working safely. Ask around to find a makeup artist in your area who is certified either via the vendor tab for your area or Thumbtack.com

You won't really know until you ask around. I found one for our engagement photos. I asked friends of mine and got a referral to one of her friends who is a local mua. Maybe you can do the same to find any local freelance artists.

Not sure about NY but in CT the mask can not be removed. So artists are doing hair and eye makeup only. Although I have heard of artists that are still doing full makeup eventhough it is against regulations.

Some places are doing it and some are doing “eyes only”. in CT theyre definitely doing it. someone who comes to u as opposed to a salon is more likely
to do the full face
