Makeup!

I think the makeup is a beautiful, natural look! She didn’t apply the lashes correctly though. You can see the spaces between each bunch on your lash line. That should be a smooth line, whereas yours looks like a dashed line.

The brows look fairly natural to me. They are probably darker and fuller than you are used to but they match the color of your hair.



I really want to say I like it but you are right - something is just off. I'm not a fan of the eyeliner but that may just be personal opinion. It seems to stop abruptly on the top and the bottom lid without reaching the corners. It also seems to accentuate the shadows under your eyes.

I agree with Ava, the eyelashes aren't applied correctly so you can see that they are fake vs. looking more natural. That might be what it is, everything else in my opinion looks great and natural. Another suggestion if she didn't do this, but maybe add some concealer and highlighter on parts of your face that you want to appear a little brighter?

I agree with the others - it's really fresh and pretty. The two changes that I think would help are -

1. the lashes - as the others said, these are not applied properly/close enough to the natural lash line so they look unnatural.

2. The lower lash line - she's lined this too far in. I find it looks more flattering on me when only the outer 1/3 of the lashline is lined. Otherwise, it makes me look tired and highlights the bags under my eyes.

I personally would go a little darker on the blush and the eyeshadow whilst remaining fresh - it could be the light you're taking this in, but overall you look a little washed out. You don't need to go full-on Instagram contour, but a little darker would balance things out.

As a whole, it just doesn’t look like a professional job. Even when going for a natural look, there should be a hint of color, contour, and highlight to add dimension and really bring out your natural beauty.

I disagree with the proviso I poster. It does look like a professional make up job, it’s incredibly pretty. Your lips need to be a different color. And maybe softer eyebrows!

Eyelashes & eyeliner need to be neater. Eyebrows need to be neater as well. Not sure what you asked for but I think you need at least some eye shadow & lip color. Doesn’t seem like there’s any makeup at all, just eyelashes and eyeliner.. I fired my makeup artist bc of this, if they can’t get lashes right then I can’t trust them

Allie your naturally beautiful . I get the natural look but like others stated it just doesn’t look like they put in effort .it looks like you did your make up on the go . I’m not a fan of caking makeup or wearing makeup in general but idk if it’s the lighting in the car but I would brighten up the lips with a matte lipstick with gloss so it pops a bit more and I would ask for some highlighter. Once again you don’t look horrible you’re still beautiful but this is your big day if your not happy and you can’t get out of the contract I would 1. Look on Pinterest for the look your going for and show them to her and see if she can do something similar . 2. See if she can give you a credit and use if for date nights or engagement photos or 3 she does your bridesmaids makeup .

View Quoted Comment I agree! Perhaps seeing a “before” pic and the inspiration pic would help because it doesn’t look like the MUA did much of anything at all. It looks more like a quick DIY job and not professionally applied makeup using quality products. However knowing what look you were going for would be helpful in determining if the MUA achieved it.

No makeup picture as an example of before

The makeup is very natural and beautiful. However, something I noticed is that the false eyelashes I can see the band. I would recommend for the wedding adding a thin line of eyeliner to disguise the band of your falsies. Your makeup artist should definitely be more skilled in applying falsies.
