Hola ladiesssss!!! First, I just want to send some love to everyone, especially all the March, April and May brides. I pray for your strength, understanding and peace during this time!
So...something other than covid-19 🛑🤚🏾🚫❌ Before the outbreak I was able to get some makeup trials done and boy it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I thought I'd never find THE ONE! I did 4 trials total with 3 different artist (gave 1 another shot at it)...first 3 trials were good but they weren't "bridal" enough for me. I had done research of course and their looks looked great but just not on me for some reason. Then I started to really think, what is it that I'm not saying to get them to be able to achieve the look I'm going for?
Tip: Try learning the language of MUAs. I kept saying I want a SIMPLE look and that's exactly what I got in look #4 🤦🏾♀️, way to plain. In her defense, it was the end of the night and I was in dance practice when I took the picture but as you can see the look didn't even last a good 6 hours 🤷🏾♀️...instead I should've been using a different choice of words. Here are some notes/lingo I took for myself after the first 2 trials:• Natural looking eyebrows
• Soft contour
• Neutral tones
• Bronzed look
• Warm tones, very warm
• No gold eyeshadow
• Matte lip
• No pink/nude glossy lip
• Colored lip
• Full lashes (whispy) or spider lashes
• Bold lashes
• Focus on eyes
• A dry look/matte finish
• No black eyeliner on bottom lashline...must be very very thin if used
So using terms like soft, matte finish, warm tones are all words that makeup artist understand lol. Take your time with this because I was like wtHECK is going on here 😂 I don't wear makeup on a regular basis but with this look I felt BEAUTIFUL and it's fiance approved!!! I got sooooo many compliments that evening. We went dancing and we DANCE DANCE lol and that makeup still looked flawless at the end of the night. She did an amazing job listening to my wants/needs, I still looked like myself and she did an awesome job recreating a look I came across. Check out the pics and the winning look!
