Makeup & Hair Trial Cost Too High?

Yikes mine was $400. That included engagements, a trial, and day of hair and makeup. Now I feel like I'm way overpaying

I feel like $400 for engagements, trial, and day of is not bad at all. Mine would be $725 for just trial and day of. I'd be happy to get all of that for $400 lol

I'm feeling like I'm going to forget about this vendor. What you had done was much more reasonable and seems to be much more common, even in my area @Fall

Damn $725 is crazy. I'd skip the trial. i think i would only do hair if it cost that much.

@AK Yeah $725 is crazy you're right. I was just looking at the people who were quoted $200 or $250. Also- I'm in Charlotte so no NYC prices haha

Wow! I think that's really expensive. I'm getting married in London, which while not the same market, is more equivalent than a lot of other areas of the US.

For them to travel to me, day of, for hair and makeup is about $300. My trial is approximately $110. Tipping standards are also much lower in the UK so that's basically my total. They are a top notch team, who win awards and are in high demand.

To me, $725 total, with such an expensive trial seems unreasonably pricey.

I paid $175 for my hair and make up trial in central nj.

That seems like an absurd amount of money for the service... I'm in the Chicago area and I'm balking at $85 for wedding day make-up and $65 for the trial, then another $75 for hair day-of and for the trial. I don't think anything in the world would convince me to pay that much money for hair and make-up.

My hair and makeup is 150$ and my trial is 150$ also

My hair and makeup trial is 175 which I was surprised at, but I'm getting to put it to use for a gala that night so I'm trying just not to think about it lol

I'm in Philly and im paying a little more than half for my trials. Day of will be $250 and trial is $150.

Indiana here.. I paid $210 for both trial (hair & makeup) and day of. Trial is half of the total.

I'm paying 80 for my day of hair and 40 for make up.

My hair trial she is doing the same day as my extentions get put in so not sure if she is going to charge me. We just discussed the extensions. I'm choosing her based on a referral from my hair dresser. She is his number one extention girl. So I hope it goes well.

I'm in the Boston suburbs and my hair and makeup will be $210 day of and my trail was $160, so it being about half sounds about right to me.

I spoke to some girls from my job and they said it was crazy and they didn't pay that much. I got some good recommendations from them so let's see if I can find a more reasonable price at the right quality. Thanks for sharing all!

$500 for hair and makeup??? For just you? That price alone is insane.
