Makeup for me and my bridesmaids

Caren, on September 1, 2021 at 6:57 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7
Hi everyone,
So my bridal group consists of 8 bridesmaids. I’m looking for different makeup artists and asking for their pricings. What is a reasonable price for everyone for makeup for you and your bridesmaids especially for big groups.

This is going to vary considerably depending on your location and how skilled/sought after the make up artist is. For example, I am paying over $1500 for make up for myself and 3 bridesmaids on-location in New Orleans by a very skilled and highly sought after make up artist. My friend, however, only paid $700 for makeup for herself and 4 BMs in a small town. I would suggest researching make up artists in your area and looking at lots of examples of their work; then contact each of them for a price quote. Make sure to include how many people will be having services done and whether you will be going to them or having them perform services on-site (as there are usually additional fees for on-site services).

This is going to vary greatly depending on where you are. For my hair and makeup as well as the trial I am only paying $300. I gave my bridesmaids the option of doing their own or paying the makeup/hair stylist. Two of them are using her and two of them opted to do their own.

Nichole brings up a very good point. Before deciding on a make up artist, you need to determine how many bridesmaids intend to use the professional (many have a minimum service they require in order to do your makeup) and what their budgets are. Also keep in mind, if you are requiring your bridesmaids to have their make up professionally done, it will be up to you to pay for all of their services.

Ive been a bridesmaid 7 times so Ive seen a variety lol. Ive had the option to use the stylist, Ive been told I have to use the choosen stylist (and even still had to pay for it) I even had one bride schedule everyone for a free makeup trial at clinique makeup in the mall (great that it was free but not what I would recommend). Knowinf what your wedding party is comfortable with and being upfront and open with them is key. I was lucky enough to find one that will come to my venue but also consider are they coming to your venue or are you going to the salon and then to the venue. If you are going to the salon how are you all getting there and then going from there to the venue? How well do you know your bridesmaids? Are they the type to run late frequently? If so adjust your plans accordingly (tell them to show early or expect the appointment to run late)

Im paying $1275 for me , 3 bridesmaids, MOB and MOG, plus travel fee for one hairstylist and one MUA... it really depends on the stylists pricing and how far they have to travel.

My trial is going to cost $190 for hair and make up.

Hair and Makeup for myself will be, $250, and I have extended the offer to my bridesmaids to all have their hair and make up done by my stylist, and I would cover the charges. If all 7 of my bridesmaids take me up on this offer it would cost $1,330 for all 7 to have hair and make up done.

I'm in CT, and to be honest I didn't really do any research into salons around me. The salon I am using is owned by a friend of a friend (but actually works out funny cause she's a distant relative of FH), and I've seen her work before, so I 1000% trust her and her team. I'm sure she'll try to give me some kind of a discount but don't intend to take it and plan to tip on her posted prices, regardless of what she charges me.

Mine is $100 per person. For bridal including trial it's $200. My stepmom is getting hers done as well so for 8 of us it will be $900.

This is the same salon who is doing hair so the prices are the same for hair, so total for both services is $1800.
