Makeup for jr. bridesmaid

Ti'Anna, on March 19, 2020 at 4:49 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 14

Hey girlies,

So I'm currently in the process of booking my mua. I have two jr bridesmaids that will only will be 11 at the time of the wedding and because they are so young I don't want to do faces full of makeup, their skin is still so young and clear. How are you guys handling young girls in your wedding parties? Are you letting them get makeup or at least something simple?

I’m not putting makeup on any of the children in the bridal party.

My daughter is 7 and was in our wedding. She wore mascara, blush and lip gloss but she also wears more makeup than that for all her dance competitions so I think it really just comes down to the kid.

That's how I'm feeling as well. I think they are so young, maybe some lip gloss at the most.

Okay thank you, I was thinking maybe lip gloss. We don't start wearing makeup for awhile in our family and I don't want them having any breakouts or anything.

Yea, I don’t think there’s any harm in some lip gloss but spending a bunch of time and money on foundation and mascara for children seems like a lot.

I actually agree. I don't have daughters yet, but I know I wouldn't want them having faces full of makeup at young age.

The moms made the call for my jr. bridesmaids and flower girls. For the 9 and 12 year olds, they may have had some mascara/blush/lip gloss but very minimal. Nothing on the younger girls. I would probably just say if their parents want to let them wear makeup then they can put it on at home. You don't need a pro to do makeup on a child.

I have my daughter in my wedding as a bridesmaid she’s going to be 8 years old. I’m going to be putting lipgloss and eye shadow on her . She’s also used to wearing makeup for cheer and dance.
