Makeup Artist not getting back to me

I am having a Halloween Themed Co-Ed bridal shower and I am dressing up as Emily from the Corpse Bride. I hired a woman who does the whole Halloween makeup a few months ago and gave her a deposit and then she told me to send her pictures of what I wanted so I did...and I haven't heard from her since. I have messaged her to ask her questions about the makeup (to see if the blue makeup/paint will stain my skin, etc) and asked if she received the pics and to set up a time for her to do the makeup before the party. The party isn't until the Oct 23rd so IDK if maybe its still too early for her to get back to me but now I'm worried because she has completely ghosted me. I hired her way back in July because I like to get things done and settled in advance and it's starting to worry me that she hasn't replied to me since. Should I wait a few more days or should I message her one more time to see what is going on/get my money back and hopefully find someone else before its too late.

    How long has it been since you reached out to her? If it hasn't been a week, I'd wait a few more days. Otherwise, I'd try sending a follow-up email, and/or a phone call.

    Start looking for a back up and get pricing since it sounds like she took the money and ran.

    So I followed up with an email and she finally replied but only confirmed the time but didn't ask for the address (she said she would be traveling to me) or answer any of the questions I had for her. This has been super frustrating...I can see she is online and has seen my message. I know she may be busy but I am a paying customer like anyone else and I just really wish she would get back to me or at least say "sorry I have been busy! Can we set up a call?" or something. uughh!

    Good to hear that she at least replied and it sounds like she's still planning on doing the makeup! I would reply to her email, requesting a time to setup a call. Or, if you already have her number, call her to get the answers to your questions.
