If you don't feel comfortable with one of your vendors, I think it is within your right to cancel the services. You can most likely cancel, but you also probably won't get your money back if you have already paid. Confrontation is hard (I hate it too), but you need to protect your investment and your day.

There's a possibility there was a misunderstanding and you can always voice your concerns to her. Good luck!

Keep it simple and tell her that you’ve changed your mind regarding makeup. It’s the truth and not confrontational.

I would simply tell her you decide to go a different way and look for another person. You want to have a vendor that you trust and that you can count on. I had to fire my first event planner because she was putting me last and kept on telling me what other brides were doing and not listening to me. I really didn’t want another brides wedding for my own. It was the best decision to do that cause now I found the best event planner for me.

Just tell her you’re going another route, thank her and be done with it. I’d be nervous about her actually showing up to the wedding.

I agree with PPs. Don't be confrontational toward her, but calmly thank her for her services and explain you're going a different direction with makeup
