Makeup artist cost

I am getting both my hair and makeup done! I’m paying $150 for both, and my trial will cost $100. That’s pretty affordable for my area (NJ).

I am getting my makeup and hair done. Makeup is usually 100 for brides with my stylist, but since shes my SIL she is doing mine as a wedding gift, and also doing my bridesmaids. She wouldnt let me have anyone else, and I'm okay with that since I LOVE her work and trust her. Bridesmaids makeup is 75. Includes airbrushing.

Hair is 75 for brides and 65 for bridesmaids.

I will be doing my own make up

Mine is $240, and then $100 for travel and $320 for the rest of my bridal party and my fmil. It costs more than I planned to spend but it was the best quote I could get in my area. Some people wouldn’t even respond to me. I am not comfortable doing my own hair and makeup for such a big event with lots of photographs.

Mine will be $65 and she’s traveling to me.

My makeup was $125 and hair was $150. Bridesmaids were $90 for each service.

I hired a professional. She is charging $40 for transportation, $140 per bridesmaid or mom (hair, makeup, lashes), and $240 for bridal hair, makeup, lashes.

Wowza!! Coming from a small, Southwest Nebraska town, those prices seem outrageous to me. My makeup trial was $25 and then $45 for the day of. Hair is $50 and that includes the trial. That'ss the standard price for a lot of artists in my area.

I asked today about 1 hairstyle and makeup application (most of the artists I looked at offer packages with more) plus trial. So keep in mind I live in the SF Bay Area. I knew I'd have to pay extra to have them come in earlier but I kid you not: $1340!! And she said this was a promo!

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. If my other quotes are like this, I might be looking into doing my own makeup.

OMG I wish I lived where you all live! Here in Washington PNW for the brides hair and makeup the average is 300-450! The lowest I have found is 165 for hair and makeup. This person does great with hair but is lacking a little with makeup.

$125 seems to be the average cost for a makeup artist ! This is what I’m paying for the one I’ve chosen (buffalo,ny) which includes her traveling to me and false lashes. I am a makeup artist myself and this is what I charge because a lot of detail and expensive products goes into bridal makeup. I can do it myself but it’s nice to sit back and be pampered especially on your big day. I want to relax and not stress about how it’s going to come out seeing as you’ll have these pictures forever !
