Make Up Trial Run

I'm interested to hear the responses. My hair and makeup are included with my destination wedding but I think I'll pay for a trial here first and then buy at least the lipstick so that I can touch up later. My eyelash tech told me to go to MAC for makeup trials and I can play with some different looks. Once I have my headpiece and veil, I'll go to a hairstylist for an updo trial and take lots of pics. If you are going to use HD or airbrush makeup on your wedding day, I would make sure the trial includes that so that you can get a real idea of the look. If you do it early in the day, you can see how long it lasts.

Your makeup artist should keep track of all the products they use that day if you like them. My girl had a complete form that she used when she did mine. She also took pictures from every angle of my hair and makeup. She asked if I wanted to change anything and then made notes. I personally loved the air brushing that she used on me. It was a bit more expensive but totally worth it for summer heat. Good luck.

For me I just saved a couple of Pinterest photos for hair and makeup. However didn’t think about how to do the hair and makeup trial part since I was using it for our engagement photos. I didn’t really care for my hair or makeup and what they did. I also didn’t want them
doing the same hair and makeup for our engagement Photoshoot as they would be doing only my wedding day since it should be different surprise. I’d say if your fiancé won’t see your hair and makeup trial then go all out girl :-). As for suggestions just have them
do exactly the look you want. I didn’t write down makeup brands because they used the most expensive stuf which I didn’t know until they were doing it :-). Usually all the care about knowing is the look you want and they will make it happen with what they have

I scheduled my hair and makeup trial for the same day as one of my dress fitting appointments so I was able to see what everything would look like together.
