Hello,

what would you ladies suggest for foundation for dry skin, long wearing, and no bounce back for photos ? I’m very fair skinned.

ive been recommended to use Lancôme 90 ivory. And then someone else suggested Tarte. It has a purple top to it.

i am open to any and all suggestions. 😊

Surprisingly, drug store brands are really good. Wet n Wild has a great brand. However, it’s more about the primer you use and the setting spray. I would look into primer for dry skin and photo-finish, long lasting setting spray that together, will strengthen the foundation you use to avoid your concerns.

If you have dry skin I would 100% recommend Milani. The coverage is INSANE. My skin was too oily for it but it looked good for the first couple of hours. I'll bet it would be great for you. It's also pretty inexpensive. If not, I use urban decay and I love it.

I would be very careful with lancome. I have light-fair skin and all their foundations oxidized on me soooo bad. I looked orange within a couple of hours. For cheap foundation I loved True Match or Fit Me. For more expensive I like Armani, and I've heard great things about Nars.

If you have dry skin, I'd find a good face lotion & primer to use first to help with that. I use IT Cosmetics CC+ cream foundation, then top with a Benefit powder foundation. A good setting spray or powder will help keep it on longer too.

Mary Kay has seriously amazing foundations, with SPF that last all day! Whatever you choose, I would definitely recommend a finishing spray to keep your makeup in place.

If your interested in MK, let me know and I can hook you up!

I second the giorgi armani. Expensive but worth it. I would say work on drinking lots of water and I started going to an esthetician, got a few treatments and use new moisturizer and my skin isn't nearly as dry. I think finding a good primer, application of foundation, and using like an urban decay all night spray will help!

Thank you everyone for suggestions so far. I’ve been using Clinique hydrating jelly. My skin hasn’t been as dry lately with it. 😊

The tarte you were recommend is the Amazonian Clay foundation. i personally don't love it, however overall it is a good foundation. the amazonian clay has this ability to keep you hydrated where you need to be but also limit oil should you have some oily spots. it is a very full coverage foundation, and has more of a velvet finish to it.

i also have dry skin, and my favorite foundation right now (that's also matte for long wear) is the Fenty Foundation. there's plenty of shade range and it feels really comfortable. plus with it being a matte long wear foundation, it doesn't feel drying at all. go to Sephora and get some samples of foundations and wear them for a day. see how they feel, see how your skin reacts to different formulas, see how they oxidize, and just how well they wear throughout the day.

I’m also very fair skinned and have drier/sensitive skin. I’ve found that the Senegence tinted moisturizer, concealer and foundations are what work best for me. I’ve been a bridesmaid lots of times and I always use this make up for professional photos. Lasts me all day and night without issues!
