Make-up for brides with glasses

Beth, on June 28, 2014 at 4:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I have my hair style picked out but I have no idea about makeup! I do want pretty natural since I'm fair skinned but I'm worried that it wouldn't matter to much since my glasses cover my eyes. Any pictures you can help me with?

Neutral palettes will likely look the best when accompanied by eyeliner and mascara. I will also be wearing glasses. I talked to some MUA's and they all say neutral. You can do some shimmer to brighten your eye, but the glasses tend to subdue your colors anyways. One even suggested that you do a quick shadow change for the reception since you will be face to face with many people and it will pop up close. But for the ceremony nobody will notice.

    Hope this helps :-)

I never wear makeup but do wear lasses. I interviewed a few makeup gals and fund one I am confident with when it comes to glasses. She said to focus on my lips. Line only my top lid and no fak lashes. We are using the naked 3 from urban decay for me and all my girls. I really liked what I saw. Best of luck to you!

How bad is your vision? I had glasses for my first wedding, and I just didn't wear them. I could make out who people were, and I could see them just fine when I was conversational distance away. I now wear contacts, but can't read without glasses if my contacts are in. Oh well, someone's just going to have to read stuff for me. I'm still not wearing them.

I wear glasses every day and I wear colors that make my eyes pop. I have light green eyes, so I tend to go towards more rose/violet (not 80's bright purple!) to make the green stand out. Since I wear glasses, I feel as though I have to wear a bit more eye make-up.

I didn't wear my glasses on my wedding day. I planned on it, but I was able to see fine without them and not get any headaches.

You want eyeliner, false lashes if you can stand it, mascara, and some shimmer below your eyebrow, eyeshadow is up to you, if you want a natural look you could stick to gold and beige shadow

<--- Blind as Bat, cannot wear contacts. Every time there is a Lasik Vision repair contest I enter as much as I can. Glasses are my only option. But I may splurge and buy a special pair for our WD.

Also, as a I was surfing for this stuff, someone pointed out glare in certain lighting during photos. Might want to talk to your photographer about this being an issue.
