Make Up Dilemma

I think you need to decide how you want to look for your wedding. If you want to look the way the second MUA made you look, then that's who you need to go with. Remember this is a business relationship, so you don't need to feel guilty about the choice you make and you need to make the choice that will result in the look you want for the wedding. (I understand feeling guilty though - I need to change hairdressers and I feel horrible about it)

I think I really want the second look and the only thing that’s holding my back is having to tell the first artist.

Did you give them both the same description of what you wanted done? Could you ask make-up artist #1 to make your look a little more dramatic and show her the other pictures?

Just say you have decided to go a different direction and that you'd like to release your date. (I assume you'll lose your deposit, but if you like the second look better, then unless you can't afford to lose it, it's better to lose the money and look the way you'd like to.)

They’re totally different makeup looks. Honestly, I like each of the makeup jobs for the different events. The bridal shower makeup was nice for that specific event. But I prefer the first pic’s makeup for your wedding. It’s softer and more bridal appearance. The cut crease eyeshadow used for you shower is trendy (right now) but not a favorite look of mine for weddings. It has more of a party/going out style. If you want a little more glam to your eyes, maybe the first artist can include some gold shadow and deepen the outer corners a bit. But I would avoid the cut crease for the wedding.

Those are totally different looks, and both are beautiful. Decide which look is more what you are going after for your wedding day, and go with that one.
