Mailing bridal proposal

I think if you're not sure that they'll respond, at least just to say yes or no, you probably shouldn't be asking them. I can't imagine a good friend just ignoring a BM proposal!

If you're really worried, put in a little card that says something like "awaiting your response". But really, I think they'll know to call you.

I only had one that I could t hand deliver to but I just FaceTimed her. I was excited, wanted to see her reaction, and wanted to make sure nothing got broken in the mail lol.

I had mine mailed and they all called me as soon as they opened it!

I mailed mine out to them. I didn't have to put a note or anything in it. They called me as soon as they received it.

I mailed mine, too! They were sent with a card that said "I can't imagine tying the knot without you. Will you be my bridesmaid?" Everyone responded the day they received them.

I called my bridesmaids first and asked over FaceTime/phone. Once they said yes I mailed the boxes. That way they didn't feel pressured since they got a gift

None of my potential BM live in the same city, I will be mailing a funny card, then a gift if they accept!

I sent a card that ended with will you be my BM? They all just texted me their response. But yes wait at least until September.

It is WAY too early to ask them. If you scroll through the forum posts about BP probs, many of them are a direct result of asking too early; relationships change, budgets change, scenarios change.

Wait until the Feb or March of your year. It's plenty of time. And just call them.

This is too early - you need to wait.

Things change, life happens. People come into and out of your life. I would hold off. You do not need to worry about this for a good year.

Thank you for all the help. I know it's too early I wasn't planning on sending anything out for quite awhile i was just curious for when I'm ready.

Here's my thing with BM proposal gifts - if someone gave me a gift to ask me, I'd feel terrible if I wanted to say no. Like really, I'd feel like shit. I think they put a lot of pressure on people.

If you want a proposal gift, I prefer giving it to them after they say yes.

I called all of mine except my (then) out-of-state girl. I sent her a little popper thing. She is used to me mailing her stuff so I just made sure she knew it was coming.
