Mailed rsvp Cards / Online rsvp

Jakia, on February 21, 2020 at 11:14 AM Posted in Planning 0 6
Hi Everyone!

I need a little help with figuring out how to do my RSVP’s for the wedding. I am thinking of doing including a rsvp for some guests (particularly people who are not tech savvy) and for others I would like for them to rsvp via our wedding website. I would include a details card for all guests listed with the rsvp date, wedding website link along with other details. I figure this could help cut down on costs for the cards and postage. For people who will receive a rsvp card I plan to indicate on the card how many seats we reserved for them. And for people who will respond online I will have the setting where they cannot enter any extra guests outside of what we allot for them.
What are your thoughts? Did anyone have better responses using one over the other?

I think what you have laid out already sounds good.

Since you have to print an RSVP card (of some type - even if it just has information on doing it online), I'd print one for everyone. Just print a very small card so it's cheaper. Include a stamped envelope for those who aren't tech saavy. On the card, put "We have reserved ___ seats for your party" or some variation of that with a "yes" or "no" option. Then on the bottom put "Please RSVP online or return this card by X date".

We did all online RSVP's and had no issues. Even our older guests (in their 80's) figured it out with no problem. It was a money saver and much less of a hassle than paper RSVP's. No printing, no postage, and no getting lost in the mail.

We did all online RSVPs and had no problems with it. Even my grandma who uses a flip phone that she keeps turned off unless she has to call someone could figure it out! But I think no matter the method you choose you will have to follow up with people to RSVP.

I did an RSVP card that said Kindly respond by (date) via mail or online and provided the website. Not 1 person has RSVPd online so far (even the young ppl havent used it) I have received 10 rsvp cards in the mail. I keep seeing my wedding website view number going up I dont know if ppl are trying or maybe they go to the website but dont bother.

I am giving my people several options to RSVP...that way they can find the way that they prefer and actually do it....I'm hoping anyway. They can send back the card, they can email our wedding email account, they can text me, they can RSVP online...
