Mail Delays

Did you make sure your postage values were correct? I am in NJ, and my in-laws recently sent me a birthday card from Florida, and it got to me in less than 10 days (I looked at the postage date). If no one at all got your invites yet, I would be concerned that something specific happened.

When you mailed out your invites, did you hand them to the person inside of the post office or did you dump them in the mailbox or your own mailbox? I handed mine right inside the post office directly to the postal person. I live in RI and even my out-of-state people in Florida got theirs super quickly. I would give it another week TOPS and if they haven’t received anything by then, something definitely went wrong and you may want to think about resending the invites.

Agree with all the above. I asked the person at the post office if 1 stamp was ok bc we used acrylic invitations. All my guests got their invitation within a week, some even in 2 days.

I went and handed them into the office. I will give it another week. Its so odd that not one of my quest have received the invites. I agree, I feel like something may have gone wrong

View Quoted Comment I live in NY as well and there have been multiple delays in mail. Maybe make a post on social media asking for people to text or call you if they receive the invite past your RSVP deadline.

I live in NYC and we mailed out our invites on Jan 28th, and those living in California got theirs in 3 days whereas those living in New York didn't receive theirs until March 6th!

I mailed out my invites last Friday and guests started to get them as early as this Monday I was honestly shocked since save the dates in November took weeks. You can give it another week or so and then reach out to guests to see if they started to receive them yet. We also had them weighed prior to mailing and got proper postage then dumped them in the mailbox at 8 am. If there is anything wrong regarding postage they’ll be mailed back to you. But hopefully in another week guests will start receiving them.

Hey almost twin! I will give it another week, they were properly weighted at the post office before being mailed. I know the USPS is experiencing delays, but this is borderline ridiculous. Next week will make three full weeks! My concern is no one has received them. Not one person. Its making me nervous. My only saving grace is that I am having all my guest RSVP online and not via snail mail. My planner warned me USPS was delayed, but wow!

Not one person got mine. I sent invites to some in Baltimore , Virginia and Florida... they have got nothing.

Update! I know of guest who received their invite... Im still nervous.. its now week 3

Hello Brides! As an update, I only know of one person who has received their invite... Aside from that everyone who I have texted and called has told me they have not received the invite. April 15, will make a whole month since invites were sent. Nothing was returned to me, so I can't imaging that they have lost all 70 invites. I just want to cry!

View Quoted Comment Hi Vic I’m a 2022 bride as well. I mailed mine off April 15. People are just now getting them, with some STILL not getting them at all. It’s so disappointing but I’m crossing my fingers that they continue to deliver to mailboxes this week!
