Maid of honor & matron of honor: same dresses?

Does the maid of honor and matrid of honor wear the same dress? I know they different then my other maid... But do those two wear the same dress color? Example.

My bridesmaids are wearing gold
My sister is the maid of honor and my best friend is the matrid of honor
Do they both wear blush color or does the matrid of honor wear the same dress as the maids but get it in a different color?

    You can do whatever you wish. My daughter is having her MOH in the same dress as the others.

    Literally no rule. They can wear the same dress as the other girls or not... my bridesmaids , matron of honor, and maid of honor are all picking the navy dress of their choosing.

    I'm not even sure when it became a thing to have the MOH in a different dress, but it definitely doesn't need to be that way.
