Maid of Honor dilemma

Emma, on November 27, 2024 at 4:47 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 2
Hi everyone!! My fiancé and I are running into an issue right now. We both have our wedding parties picked out, but we cannot pick an MOH/ Best Man. Our wedding party consists of family members and our closest friends, so it’s really hard to pick. I have an idea of who I would pick, but I have a feeling it would cause drama with others in the group. He is in the same boat. We are currently considering not having a MOH/ Best man and instead giving specific roles. What are your thoughts on this? Has anyone done this??

I would just designate everyone as a bridesmaid or groomsman and leave it at that. No need to necessarily have a MoH/Best Man! What kind of roles were you thinking about? The main thing is that one of the bridesmaids will need to hold your bouquet during the ceremony (if you have a bouquet) and one of the groomsmen should have the wedding rings for the ring exchange. Those are the main responsibilities of a MoH/Best Man.

There's no need to have a maid of honor or best man, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You won't hurt anyone's feelings by not having either of those roles
