Maid and Matron of Honours no bridesmaid

RMGP, on October 9, 2024 at 4:50 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

Hello All,

We're expecting 60-70 guests for our wedding next year and haven't decided if we should have a bridal party.

Since it's an intimate wedding, we're thinking of having a matron & maid of honour. The reason why we're skipping bridesmaids is to avoid any conflict with other friends.

Do you guys think I should get a full bridal party lineup or stick to what I want - Maid of Honour and Matron of Honour?

Thank you.

When it comes to your wedding, always stick to what you want! If what you want is a maid and matron of honor, then that’s definitely what you should do. Plus, there are so many advantages to having a smaller wedding party! (less bickering, less opinions, less people to manage, less expensive, etc., etc.)

There’s no reason to add bridesmaids if there aren’t people you really want to include. And since you’re planning on a small wedding, a small bridal party is perfect.
