Maggie Sottero Extra Lace Package

Stacie, on August 27, 2015 at 7:37 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I just ordered my dress, Marianne by Maggie Sottero, along with an extra lace package. I asked the bridal salon if they knew how much extra fabric I would be getting (a yard maybe?), but she wasn't sure. If anyone has ordered extra fabric from Maggie Sottero, could you please let me know how much fabric came in the package? Thanks.

Beachbride85 - I've seen on some forums (I've tried to look for it again but can't remember where it was) how some brides said they ordered extra lace to add sleeves/boleros to their dress or add details to their veil. I wanted to use the scraps from the dress, but since I ordered a petite size, I don't think there will be enough after alterations. I brought it up to the woman at the salon and she had no idea about it. She called Maggie to confirm, and they said they sell it for $95. I'm not sure if they make lace packages for all of their dresses or just some, but since my dress is blush, I wanted to have extra just in case.

I was going to order extra lace material to add to my veil. My bridal shop owner said it comes in one yard. It was too much for me because my is scalloped lace. I found a very similar one at joann fabrics. I've messaged the maggie sottero page on facebook before with a few questions, it took a few days to hear back but they were very helpful. Try doing that.

@beachbride, they never offered me. We asked about getting the same lace from designer.

@ melissa - We're dress sisters! Smiley smile I only have a picture of me trying on the sample dress, which was huge and wasn't pinned tight enough. I tried on a size 16 regular length, but I ordered an 8 Petite because I'm 5'2. Now I'm worried that the torso will be much shorter and the flair will begin higher on my leg, changing the silhouette of the dress. I see you're getting married next month. Congratulations! Have you started your alterations yet? What shoes are you wearing with the dress (assuming you got it in blush)? I would love to see your dress on you after final alterations.

@jsarge - I asked the woman at the salon how much fabric I would be getting, and she said "they didn't tell me." She did say that the package is "lace only." The dress has sequins in the lace, so I guess that means no sequins in the package, but I'm not sure.

I can't help you on the extra lace, but I finally have a dress twin!

Oops never mind...not my dress twin. With "petite", the torso of the dress isn't shortened, just the bottom with Marienne
