Jennifer, on April 9, 2018 at 3:01 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Hi everyone! I stumbled across this pretty dress today. It is being advertised as a authentic Maggie Sottero but I cannot find this dress anywhere online. Maybe it is a counterfeit? Thanks in advance Smiley smile

It doesn't seem like any of the styles she makes try google add the photo to the search bar. Also look up discounted dresses. Hope this helps. 😀

I am not sure, but that dress is beautiful!

Did you find it at a David's Bridal or another bridal store? Or did you find it at a shop that resells new/used wedding dresses? I would question wherever you are. They should be able to prove to you that it is authentic Maggie Sottero.

It is online on a trusted website, if it is fake I am covered. Maybe I can ask for some kind of documentation or see the tag? Or get it authenticated at a store? I was looking at Maggie replicas online and they look really really fake lol.. This one looks like good quality so I’m lost.

I did some research and saw some legitimate stores selling this same dress in the past. Their stores are located in the USA and have great reviews on Facebook. I’m so confused lol

I would definitely ask for some documentation to show that it's authentic. If all they show you is the tag then you will have/need to do research to make sure it's not a fake tag. If it's a trusted site then I would say it's authentic and if it's not, make sure you have a way out from your purchase.

It might be a discontinued style. I would ask what line it’s from (spring 2016 for example). She does also have 3 separate lines - Maggie Sottero, Sottero and Midgley & Rebecca Ingram.

Email a picture of the dress to the Maggie Sottero customer
service and say you are trying to find the style number for the pictured dress.

Ask for a picture of all the tags. Every clothing manufacturer has it's own number assigned. It still won't prove it's an original, but it may also give you a style # for comparison.

It is a discontinued dress. I ended up finding it after doing a lot of digging. It’s called the Tiana dress Smiley smile

I just wanted to make an update incase anyone comes across this thread. I believe this dress was indeed a knockoff. There are a lot of fake Maggie Sottero dresses out there. This dress had tiny details off. For example 12 buttons on the backside yet the authentic version has 10 buttons. The embroidery looked off as well. The seller contacted me and reassured me the dress is real and came from a bridal store. Locally owned bridal stores consign dresses for people and sometimes unknowingly sell knockoffs. Going with my gut and not getting the dress.
