Made a video for your reception entrance?

Has anyone ever made a video to play on a projector screen for their reception entrance or does anyone plan on doing that? I saw this really cute YouTube video where the entire wedding party is introduced at the reception and then when the bride and groom is introduced, instead of walking into the reception, a video is played on the projector screen that shows them running "late" to the reception and shows them running through the woods or swimming in a lake as an attempt to get to the reception. When the video concludes, the bride and groom walk in. I just love that idea!

LOL that is awfully extravagant. No, I'm not making a feature film for our reception entrance. I've got much more important things to plan...

Never seen that, I have seen where videographers show blips of the wedding service during cocktail hour before but not that. Looking at videographers though just to do a 1 min preview video of the wedding rehearsal added $500.00 I don't think I would want to run in a wooded area in my dress though.

I've seen it too. I thought that was cool as well. I'm not Beyonce but on my wedding day I will feel like I am. I think its cool to come up with something creative to capture your guest. I am trying to figure that out now. Best of luck

I love the idea! (maybe not swimming in the lake lol) but knowing both FH and My family they would love it. You have to know your guests. I wish we could do something like it but we are going to need that money for something else more important. If you do it PLEASE share - I would love to see it!

Me and FH are doing a video and playing it during the reception just a short one of us telling our story of how we met and thanking all the guests who showed up.

First of all, there are affordable videograhers out there! This could be included in the fees. You could talk to him about lowering the cost by allowing him to use it as a protiom video whicb i think would be great for his business. Second, i think its a fun idea. A fun 2 min video, does not affect the time of the night. And lastly, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU WOMEN... and your VERY rude commemts? If you have nothing nice to say, then dont say anything at all!

Lol so much that. Even a few years after and happening upon this question where I too am thinking of creative videos to spark a good time…and to be met with, albeit, rude, lack of imagination, stick in the mud people. You have a lot to plan? You’re not a rock star? We o much work? Well I guess with THOSE attitudes… glad I didn’t show up to your blasé weddings! You have my support because women support each other and no dream is too small.
