Made a decision

My daughter is my moh. But, she's autistic, I know it would be too much for her to handle on her own. So, I'm asking a friend that I have known for 30 years to be my second moh. She said yes.

I am so happy

That's great! if you still want your daughter to be MOH, it could still be a title she has rather than her having to take upon an actual role

That's amazing and it will work so much better for all of you having additional support with your friend in that role. Congrats!

Congratulations! We’re doing something similar. My FH’s brother is autistic and he will best man along with one of my FH’s best friends. We’re planning on asking his brother to hold the rings during the ceremony and the other traditional best man duties can be handled by his friend.

To me the role of a MOH is standing by your side on your wedding day. There’s nowhere that says a MOH HAS to plan this and that or do anything else. One of my other bridesmaids is the one planning a bachelorette weekend. Honestly I think it’s more important to her than it is to me or my MOH and it’s just that BM’s personality. My mom is planning my shower. The only thing I’m really asking my MOH to do over someone else is to hold my bouquet.

Thank you. My friend knows that she is a moh but my daughter walks down first and she is fine with it. She knows how to keep my daughter calm

That's awesome. Two of my cousins are going to be the ring bearers. My stepdaughter and a cousin will be the flower girls

It wasn't easy at first. I do have a sister but we aren't super close. But I'm going to see if she would help me with decorations.

That's what my daughter wants to do. But she knows there's more to it and she said she wants help.

That sounds like a great plan! I hope it works out and maybe you two can be closer as a result.
