Has anyone ever done a Mac & Cheese Bar? If so how did you make it unique?

We didn’t do this, but it sounds amazing! To make it unique, you could maybe offer different cheese options? Or different mix in options like bacon or lobster!

I may just steal this idea! I love it! It’s like a Mac & Cheese Sunday bar, how cool!

My fiance's last name is Mack and one of our favorite foods is Macaroni and cheese. Therefore a "Mack n Cheese bar" lol. Couldn't find much on pinterest about something like this

We didn’t have a Mac and cheese bar at our wedding, but we did have a mashed potato bar at our cocktail hour and I’ve done a Mac and cheese bar for parties at home. The key is lots of options:

Minimum of two types of base Mac & cheese—I do basic elbows with a mix of cheddars and then a fancier option with orecchiette and a gruyere-based sauce. Then guests can choose their mix-ins—BBQ pork and/or chicken, a variety of shredded cheeses (can never have TOO much cheese!), chopped bacon and/or pancetta, prosciutto or diced ham, scallions, chives, mushrooms, hot sauce/Tabasco, truffle oil, those frizzled onions that people add to green bean casserole...lobster if you’re feeling really fancy...! The options are numerous! I like using martini glasses as the eating vessel—it looks really classy!
At a wedding, I’d likely only do this at cocktail hour, but it definitely is filling!

We are doing this for our wedding, during the cocktail hour instead of hors d'oeuvres. The toppings that our caterer initially included are: cheese, bacon, shrimp, mushrooms, hot sauce, bread crumbs, chives, and tomatoes. I asked to add steamed broccoli. Personally when I make mac cheese at home I usually add black beans, tomatoes with green chilies, and hot sauce. But I don't know if anyone else would like beans in the mac cheese so I didn't ask to add that. We aren't serving it in anything special like martini glasses. I went to a wedding that had a mashed potato bar and they served it in martini glasses. That's just not our style though haha.

We're doing a mac and cheese bar for our wedding! We will have a basic past with cheese sauce and are offering like 14 different toppings. We will also be having a salad and roll served with it too. Guests will go through a buffet line just like the would with any other meal. Toppings will be chicken, brisket, bacon, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, onions, chives, roasted garlic, ranch, BBQ, buffalo sauce, bread crumbs, and a couple other cheeses.

We are doing pasta/ mac n cheese as our main meal. It will be buffet style with plain mac n cheese and ALL the toppings. Chicken, steak, beans, lots of extra sauces (curry, buffalo, bbq, marinara) and extra cheeses, croutons, veggies, spices, etc.

The caterers are also bringing some completed dishes (chicken alfredo, beef teriyaki with rice noodles) for those who aren't so keen on mac. It also comes with 2 salad options and rolls and i think a hummus platter.

SO excited! Do it! We wanted to serve our favorite food but also cater to the people who may think they're too old for mac n cheese (even though they are wrong)

    Yum!

I would have the plain pasta and then have a few cheese sauce choices and then toppings such as: bacon, chicken, beef, jalapenos, bread crumbs
