Low back bra for large chest

Laura, on August 30, 2018 at 10:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 11
My current strapless bra shows in my dress. I’ve been looking for a low back bra but without success. So far I’ve checked Lane Bryant, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, regular and Rack, and Amazon. Where else can I look?

I have the same problem. I even went to a store that specializes in bras. I was told to get a what looks like stickers and use 3 of them per side instead of 2. 😕

Stickers?! My 36Gs are not gonna be held up with stickers.
I tried a low back converter to be able to use my existing strapless. It was terrible, tight around my middle and there was no support at all.

Us girls with big boobs and low back dresses have struggles! I purchased extra fabric for my dress in case I need to have the seamstress add a gusset.

Check with a seamstress. Mine (at the store I bought the dress) takes a regular bustier and somehow drops the back. I haven't picked it up yet, but from what I could follow she moves the hooks and kind of angles the whole thing down.

Interesting. Would never have thought of that.
I found some promising options at HerRoom. Haven’t decided which one I’m gonna try yet. Anybody know what their return policy is like?

Have you checked with any bridal shops? There is a mastectomy shop in my hometown that carries large-sized strapless bras. It also happens to be a bridal shop.

Look up the Dominique corset on amazon. Half the price it is at David’s bridal. Full coverage and low back!

Have you talked with your seamstress about options? Even with large breasts, a good seamstress might be able to build up the bodice in a way that doesn't require a separate bra.

Try Bare Necessities. I got a corset bra from them for my daughter's wedding, but not before going through five or six different ones from the site to try them to find just the right one. Great service.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!
Tiffini, I’ll look up that bra on Amazon.
MOB, I’ll look at Bare Necessities.
I don’t have a seamstress yet as my wedding is still over a year away. Not entirely sure how to find one without going back to DB and paying what I’m sure are inflated prices. A no bra option, if it truly holds me up, sounds like the best option. One less layer of clothing on a likely to be warm day. (Or not. Predicting November in Florida is like guessing winning lottery numbers.)
