Going with the trend and sharing our story! Ours is unique, that’s for sure. We met while I was 16 and became best friends, we didn’t have a relationship until I turned 19. I was too young and it didn’t work out, but we stayed best friends. I got into a relationship with a really bad person for 6 years and once I decided enough was enough, my best friend came around to save me. He healed me and showed me everything I was always missing. When asked why he didn’t settle down with anyone, he told me “I’ve just been waiting for you. Because for me, it’s always been you.” Anyone else have a similar story? Love story 1

    That’s so sweet! My story is kind of similar....we met when I was 16, he was 15. He was dating my best friend but they broke up after like 2 weeks of dating and she told me while he wasn’t right for her, she thought he was perfect for me. I was going away for college though and it just didn’t seem right so we left it at just liking each other but never going forward with it. He got into a 7.5 year bad relationship and I had a handful of relationships, not all good. Then I stumbled across him again and we met up and I knew from then that he was it. We’ve been together 5 years now 😊.

    Oh my goodness. That's so beautiful!! We met in college and became really good friends. We'd been friends for awhile and at the time I was also in a toxic relationship for 5 years. I'd finally had enough. Our friendship strengthened in the midst of it all and one thing led to another. I'm so happy for you, though. I couldn't be happier!

    We met our freshman year of college, living across the hallway in the dorms. But I was dating someone else at the time, so we just stayed friends. A few years later, we graduated and each moved on and went our separate ways. Eventually me and the old boyfriend broke up, and I reconnected with FH. We dated for a while, but the timing wasn't right for either of us, so we broke up but remained friends. After 3 years of being single, we decided to get back together. We were long distance at that point, but we made it work. So now, 11 years after meeting each other, we're engaged and planning our wedding. It may not have been a straight path to here, but I wouldn't change it. We built a strong friendship and know it can withstand though times.
