Lounge area

What is the average cost for a lounge area for a wedding? I was thinking about $600 including a sweetheart table and chairs but its looking more like $1k which I don’t know if I can afford.😢
If we end up having the extra $$ which would you choose? Or none? Lol Im going for a modern boho look.

I love the first option but I guess I don’t know why you would need it other than cocktail hour? But even then that seems like it wouldn’t be enough seating anyway?

I would personally say none. Simply because your guest are going to want to take photos none stop with you. Therefore, you probably won’t get much time to enjoy the table. My venue has a groom/bridal suite upstairs so the FH and I plan to have our food plated in that area. So while everyone else is eating we get that small time to enjoy our first meal as husband and wife. No interruptions! 😊

But I personally like the third picture. 😆

Depends where you are located, but we decided not to do the lounge furniture rental as we were quoted $1800 for a single couch, two chairs, and one coffee table. There were a bunch of hidden fees such as delivery, set up, pick up, insurance, etc. which made the cost so high. All three of these looks are really nice though

Its not totally necessary. I was mostly just wanting a comfortable area for my mom to sit after dinner since she has back problems. And was hoping to make it cute at the same time lol

That’s thoughtful of you but maybe you can just make sure that she specifically has a comfortable chair

Cost depends on where you live. Some larger cities are very expensive. I could see people using them after dinner instead of dancing, but they aren't really a thing outside of the magazines.

Most furniture rental places I saw were charging $700-$1000 for just one of those pretty vintage looking couches, not including coffee table or other chairs. I never realized lounge furniture rentals would be so expensive 🥺

Wow! Im thinking of having my FH and brother-in-laws go pick up and setup/tear down. But not sure if it would be too much of a hassle.

Mine cost about $2500 for lounge area (coffee table, sofa, two side chairs, two side tables, sofa pillows, rug), rugs for my ceremony aisle, and sweetheart table and chairs.

This was in San Diego County.

You could go try second hand stores and then after the wedding resale them.

I would say the first one. Things to keep in mind though.... when I saw the price to rent our decor for things like furniture almost fell on the floor. Not sure of your prices are the same but for just one couch for us they were charging 600. The armchairs went for about 200 and then you have to factor in the table which was in about another 200 and the rugs and side table decor. Is your wedding outdoors or indoors? Our wedding will be under a tent, but there’s also a small cocktail our house. We were going to set up the furniture outside but we felt that it wasn’t worth it because we’d be spending at least 2000 on furniture decor outside if it rains that’s money down the drain. We’re downsizing to just a few furniture sections in our cocktail hour area as well as in the tent

I agree! I’m quoted about a similar price for my furniture decor! I would’ve never guessed that renting a couch for five hours as a decor piece would cost as much as buying the couch out right if not more. 600 for a couch! 325 for an arm chair 200 for a small coffee table, the rug which I’m assuming must be made of gold was about 400. We were going to have this set up outside but then if it rains that’s money down the drain. Looks nice but I agree the cost is just not worth it

Although I love the first set. I do agree that price depends on where you live. And I think furniture rentals are very expensive. I had a friend get furniture from second hand store. They actually allowed her to borrow a couch, and table. She did pay them and returned it no hassle the next day.
