Losing weight

Kim, on September 22, 2019 at 12:25 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 5
Prior to my engagement I honestly thought getting engaged would kick me into high gear and motivate me to lose weight..... it hasn’t.

I have always struggled with my weight and yo-yo’d. I am not currently at a weight in which I would feel I look good in a dress but I also am not motivated in the slightest to do anything about it.

🙄 at myself lol

I got engaged in June 2018 married in June 2019. My mom said she was going to lose weight for the wedding. She didn't even start trying to lost weight until February 2019. I think she did it for maybe 2 months. Idk I think she looked her biggest she's ever looked on my wedding day. My friends mom told her after she eloped that she was going to use her wedding as a reason to lose weight. In my experience, the only time I see people losing weight and keeping it off is when they do it for a lifestyle change. Not a goal for an event or a lb goal. Maybe try to think of it as a daily habit. Cut out sugary drinks. Eat a balanced diet. Spend 30 minutes or more working out 3 to 5 times a week. Just make it a part of your life.

It's not easy but ya gotta start somewhere. Good luck and congratulations!

I think the best thing is to find a workout or exercise regimen you'd enjoy ! That way you'd be more inclined to stick to it. Try different fitness classes or exercises out

Focus on diet. That is where you can lose the weight.

Gradually cut out some things like soda or fried food or fast food. You'll soon realize you feel better without it. As for exercising - force yourself. I know, I know - it's hard but soon you will feel the need to do it.

Or sign up for a race. Join a workout group. Start a challenge with friends, family or coworkers.

    Dont give into fad diets!

I'm at a point where I feel confident in my dress. I've just been making small adjustments to my diet and watching what I eat as well as making sure I get at least 4 days with some light to moderate exercise per week, and it has made a huge difference in how I feel!
