Lose deposit??

Soo we put a deposit down for our venue. Now I'm regretting!! we were trying to go with a small budget, but now I feel even that wont work for what we want. I keep going back to wanting a small intimate wedding, with immediately family only and the immediate family of the bridal parties. Our deposit is non refundable.

    How much was the deposit? Is catering included in the venue? You could still have a small wedding at the venue you picked.

    I'd contact them, if this is really your decision. Your date is far enough away in a prime time that they may be happy to rebook it, keeping a bit for their time and effort to book you.

    Dont want to throw away money of coarse... We love the venue. Had my baby shower there, the catering is included in price. The venue only charges you by the amount of people/plates. They do still charge a minimum of 80 or 150 guest depending on time of event.

    I lost my deposit on a place that broke there promises because the staff got fired. Sometimes you have to take a loss and make it up some where else. $1000 is a huge loss though

    Do not throw that money away!! See if they can refund you all or some. If not just stay with that place.
