Beginner July 2020

Loosing weight is the hardest

Candida, on February 21, 2020 at 9:27 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 12
141 Days to go and every sweet potato pie and all the sweets on the sweets aisle calls my name every time I go grocery shopping. Did anybody else set a goal for their weight before their big day? If so what did you do and is it working?

My goal is 180 I’m 5’9 and trying to loose baby weight. I just started keto this week. And I’ll start kickboxing next week. Honestly I feel the difference in my body already and I lost 3 pounds this week. What’s been helping me is meal prepping and leaving my $ in my car whole I’m at work to prevent myself from snacking and drinking lots of water. I also look at a picture of myself in my gown and remind myself that this is not how I want to look. It’s really good motivation.

For me it was important to find an exercise regimen I could stick to

Practice your dance moves for 45 minutes in your living room every day! Pour soda water in a wine glass and pretend like you’re partying LOL! I do this sometimes when I don’t feel like running or going to the gym or leaving my house LOL. It sounds crazy and insane and it probably is a little of both but you know what dancing burn tons of calories! You can even practice dancing to the songs that you want to have at your wedding! It will help you determine the bestSong list selection possible while also working out, killing two birds with one stone! Good luck and don’t give up! You got this!

No soda and carb counting. It sucks a lot, but it's very effective. Easiest thing to do is adjust your eating, because you can limit your carbs by editing what you would normally eat anyway.

I joined the other WW and I’ve been successful. I’m not at goal but thinner than I was when I started -44 pounds down and hoping for at least 50 in the next 2 months which I know I can do.

A lot of ppl say cut the sweets/sugar and drink more water and I'll be good. Only problem is they both are my weakness 😔. July will be here before I know it so crunch time it is, gotta reach my goal.

Before going to the store, write a list and stick to it. Shop around the outer part of the store (produce, dairy, meat) and try to stay away from the aisles as that’s where most of the processed foods come from. Don’t completely eliminate sugar if that’s what you crave, but moderate it instead. Maybe you have 2 sodas a week or dessert once or twice a week instead of trying to cut it all completely. In doing so, you’re more likely to find yourself “failing”. (I use quotation marks because there really isn’t a failing if you’re trying. Failure is the lack of attempt in the first place. And, there are no “bad foods”. There are foods that are nutrient dense and foods that are nutrient scant, but the latter isn’t inherently bad. It just needs to be moderated). Make your changes small so you find that you can do it, and when you’re consistently meeting those changes, make slightly bigger changes. Remember that you need to be in calorie deficit for fat loss; but please don’t just try to starve yourself! July is still a good amount away, so increase your greens and protein and decrease your sugars and I bet you’ll see results. (Though you do want to make sure you’re watching portion sizes, so I’d recommend getting a food scale if you don’t have one. Everything I eat is weighed out to make sure I’m getting enough protein and not getting more than I need).

I just wanted to clarify, if you try to cut all sugar AND soda out at once, you’re more likely to find yourself slipping up more often.

My goal is 145. I’m currently down 12 lbs in 2 months from 170. The key for me has been eating consistently throughout the day, cutting carbs at dinner, and starting orange theory fitness. It’s about finding something you like so you can stick to it. I like orange theory because I don’t have to think about what the workout will be, and it’s always different.

    Good luck!

I dropped the 15 I wanted with keto and a bit more exercise. My wedding dress and photos kept me inspired!

The struggle is real! I have a huge sweet tooth, like I always want ice cream or cookies and pizza lol. I'm actually going to be starting on nutrisystem tomorrow, I've done nutrisystem before I lost about 50lbs in 3 months a few years back. I know my wedding is next year but it's better to start sooner than later so I can fit in a dress but also just to feel healthier. My goal is to lose around 75lbs before my big day. I'm down 10lbs already and I already feel better about myself.

Scientifically the only way to lose weight is to be in a caloric deficit aka you are burning more calories than you’re ingesting! For me cutting food groups is a bust because I just want to eat them more! I know my calorie goal for the day (about 200 less than maintenance) and I fit the foods I want into that goal. You CAN lose weight while eating pizza, ice cream, etc Smiley smile if you’re on Instagram follow @syattfitness - he has a ton of free resources on this!
