Looking for recommendations for good photographer/videographer with Vietnamese wedding experience in Los Angeles area.

My fiancé and I will be having a tea ceremony early in the morning , followed by an American style ceremony in the afternoon and then our reception. I’ve been told most photographers and videographer charge by the hour with most weddings lasting about 5-6 hours. Our wedding will begin around 5am since we have to be up early to get ready and our tea ceremony will be maybe by 8am.. so I’m looking for recommendations for photographer and videographers that’s are familiar with Vietnamese style weddings. Thank you.

Https://acoloredmind.com/ - A Colored Mind videography does! In fact, when I first reached out, Herbert asked me specifically if I was having a tea ceremony. His work is beautiful! He’s also more than happy to send you specific examples of his work, so just ask for one with a tea ceremony and I’m sure he has examples for you to see! His pricing isn’t bad either. He charges by the hour, but I was quoted under $2,000 for 8 hours. He does offer more hours as well.

https://www.alvisphamphotography.com/ - Alvis is Vietnamese, so at the very least, he should be familiar with them. I’d ask to see if he has any experience photographing them. He also has videography services. He was very pleasant to communicate with, even though I chose to go a different route with what edit style I wanted. He’s also pretty affordable and quoted me an all-day package when I asked about it.

In my experience, photographers tend to have some variation of packages for 10 hours/all day, 8 hours, 5-6 hours, and maybe a 3 hour/elopement package. However, if you are on a budget and need to cut costs, you can have them leave after the main reception events (cake cutting, first dances, etc.) to cut down the hours.

Our videographer is coming from OC to the bay area and his top package include 12 hrs + addition fee after that. It was affordable with all the stuff included (raw footage, drone shot, etc).

I'm in the same boat! Bridesmaids and I will also start our day at 5 am. Tea ceremony at 1 pm. Western ceremony and reception at 5 pm, most likely ending around 11 pm. I estimate about ~12 hours of photography services. I specifically chose my photographer, Inspired by Studio, because they offer full day coverage. It helps that they're all Vietnamese and have experience with tea ceremonies. They're based in the Bay Area, but I'm having them travel to Sacramento for my wedding. Pretty sure they can travel to LA area too. I was quoted 5k for my full day package (excluding travel fees). I'm not sure if their prices are still the same or have gone up.
