Long sleeve dress when it could be hot?

Selina, on April 19, 2019 at 12:15 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
Ive purchased my dress already and I’m in love with it, but this was with intentions of a fall October wedding in buffalo. Now I’m considering a September wedding when it might be a little warm out still but not like super hot. Idk if it’ll be okay to have the long lace sleeves on my dress then ( they’re off the shoulder if that helps)

I think you'll be fine since they are lace. If they were a heavy satin, velvet, or any other heavy fabric, then I think you may get too warm. I think you'll look perfect!!

I’m also getting married in buffalo in October! As I’m sure you know, it’s so hard to predict the weather, but I think lace sleeves will be beautiful!

I think lace sleeves are gorgeous and they’re a very light material so you should be fine, no worries. Hoping for a beautiful (though not too hot) day for you!

What time of day is your wedding? our wedding was late september, the 23rd, in rochester. it was 72 degrees that day but cooled down at points to 50s. i had a cold shoulder dress. and a faux fur coat and a leather jacket as a cover up. if it was a summer wedding in august i think it’s be different and more worrisome. my best friend had an off shoulder dress on memorial weekend and it was 95 degrees that day but she was drop dead gorgeous and if she was uncomfortable it never showed.

and no matter what the dress and season is, you may get warm if you dance a lot! enjoy the dress you have! if you must get a reception dress, opt for a shorter one to move in.
    cheers!

I would risk it, I love long sleeves! May I ask why you want to change it to September?

We would do beginning/ mid September where it’s warm still because the weather in October is a big difference in Buffalo Ny and I really have my heart set on an outdoor ceremony

I think you will be fine, I'm having a November wedding here in South Georgia, and it could possibly be in the 70s or 80s and I have a long sleeve dress! I'm hoping that we have real fall weather, but last year it was super hot in November.
