Long sleeve dress in August??

Natasha, on May 10, 2017 at 2:00 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

I am going back and forth between sleeveless and long sleeve for dress for many reasons but I need some input to help make up my mind. Any thoughts or experiences?

What's your location and average temperature that month? I'd be worried about being hot!

If you like the look of sleeves, but are worried about being too warm, you could you try half sleeves or 3/4 length sleeves so it's not as much material.

Depends on where your wedding is and what the temp is usually around that time.

Definitely depends on your location. I agree with AwkwardToBe with getting half or 3/4 sleeves if you want them.

Girl. My dress would have been long sleeves if I lived in the desert lol. It's the look I've wanted for as long as I remember and long sleeved dresses are kinda my thing. I love them. I did want earlier June but we got the date the venue had. Close to July and I did think about being hot but as long as my face isn't a sweaty mess I don't care! If that's what you want, get it! I would wear my dress in August too.

I agree with OG. You can do the lace or sheer sleeves which compromises the long you want and accommodates the heat in August....of course this assumes your wedding will be done place where it's hot in the summer. Also bear in mind movement and weight of the dress that may create some heat on you too.

I don't think a lace or sheer sleeve is going to be much hotter....

Assuming the sleeve is lace or sheer, I doubt it's going to make any temperature difference.

I love sleeves! I'm in Texas, so its ALWAYS hot....but I'm still planning to have some type of sleeve. The look is so elegant & just beautiful IMO. Also, if you have sleeves, no one will see your white deodorant marks #winning!

I think if they are lace sleeves it won't add too much heat and I love the way they look, but try some on because they can be really hard to move in!

I have long sleeves and my wedding is early Sept (still very hot where I live). I can only assume if your wedding is in Aug. your reception is indoors and climate controlled, so who cares? Wear what makes you feel most beautiful and confident.

Get a topper that you can remove after the ceremony if you get hot. They look like they are part of the dress.

    Is your venue indoors?
