Long or Short Dress for Morning Ceremony

I don't see any issue with wearing a floor-length for the ceremony! It's not that big of a deal

Who told you to get a short dress? Unless your daughter specifically asked you to get a short dress for the ceremony, I would stick with your lace gown. It sounds lovely.

Thank You! My daughter doesn't seem to care but the groom's mother thought it more appropriate to have a short dress for the daytime. Wedding is 2 weeks away and I'm not sure I want to be changing in the middle of the day. So much will be going on, especially with all the pictures. I remember my mother wore a short dress to the church when I got married and a long gown to the reception. Was wondering if that was still protocol. LOL! So much has changed through the years.

Wear the dress you want! You can get away with a shorter dress because it's a morning wedding, but a long dress is absolutely fine.

Typically it's do what the bride says 😉
But also mother of the bride typically picks her own and mother of the grooms outfit, so where I live the mother of the groom telling you to go short is super rude.
Personally I think the lace gown sounds lovely
