Long Island Photographer Recommendations & Prices?

Our photographer is Gustavo Urena, he is in NYC. I found his prices to be very affordable for this area, without compromising quality.

Thanks so much for responding ladies! Gym Rat I really appreciate the response! I was actually looking at Studio 27, Dreamlife and Joshua Dwain to possibly make appts with. What does "other options available" mean? Who did you end up booking with? I feel like photography is what's going to outlast everything else years from now so I want to make the right decision.

You're very welcome! Other options meaning there was more packages they offered but I either didn't have all the info or was too lazy to type lol.

So funny thing is I booked with a So. Florida/Bahamas photographer who travels to NYC often (he's waiving the travel fee): Stanlo Photography. Better for my budget, more in the package and his photos were just as great ($3300+$375 e-shoot). I WAS going with JD and was ready to pay $5k but he was less than enthusiastic about my venue. It crushed me because he was my dream photographer. I don't know what your style is but mine is photojournalistic so for Studio 27, I loved Boy Wonder and Chris' portfolios (they're on the site). Sobitart came in 2nd for me - his style is similar to JD.

I actually have so many more photog quotes. I could not believe how many NYC wedding photographers there are. And some of them from CT, NJ and PA will not charge a travel fee so that gives you more options. It was the second most overwhelming vendor to research. How I found a lot of them was through Instagram. I used the hashtag #nycweddingphotographer

Antonella, respectfully, do your own work. You to to the vendor tab, you find vendors, you read reviews and you talk to them. Gymrat has the patience of a saint, honestly.

I am researching Celia but If I can get some first hand opinions, it's really important to me. And Gym Rat I would love videography quotes! Studio 27 is video as well right? I really do like their photos! Preo what's included in your package if you don't mind me asking? I read someone say the staff was really great and that's a big one for me too as I made an appt with a photography company a few weeks ago (and this is why I am now looking for opinions before I make anymore) and showed up to be told we weren't in the appt book and the owner was out to dinner, come back later. I was floored. They were so rude about it.

What do you think the reviews are for? They are first hand opinions. I have 310 of them, and they are all real people who used me and gave their first hand opinions. And pretty much every photographer posts 'investment", a cute word for 'what does it cost."

Cassarino Studios in Mineola is who we went with. I don't have my receipt right now, but our 'princess package' which includes photographer's service for 8 hours and all digital photos on a dvd was around $1600.00. They also do videography if you want it.

North island (setauket) and lighthouse (port jeff) start their packages at $2995 and it goes up from there, both do video as well

I'm using life art photography. Anthony is awesome!! I love his work and I found his prices very reasonable!

Aww thanks Celia. Sometimes I don't mind. On the LIweddings website they do this all the time so when I'm not busy I like to send my quotes to help.

GYM RAT you are so helpful, thank you so much! I made myself an appt with Studio 27 and Sherwood. Has anyone met with ADA or Silverfox? There are so many companies, my head is spinning a little! lol

I haven't met with ADA and Silverfox but I have heard great things. Gurlllll photo/video was SOOOOOOOO exhausting to research. At one point I had to stop and give up for several days because it was so overwhelming. You really don't know how many photographers/videographers are out there until you start to look for one! I'm so glad it's over!
