@Nancy- I read reviews for both, the food and service was spotty at best for the woodlands but the grounds and venue are gorgeous (my biggest concern is the service!)

@Joanna- I looked at old westbury but there was something about it that didn't feel like "us" when we went there if that makes sense.

I like that Woodlands is a real Gold Coast Mansion, on the Golf Course. The Woodlands recently had a change of management. As a town owned property the lease goes up for bid every now and again. So old reviews may not apply. Woodlands is one of the few mansions without a site fee. I like that the Glen Cove Mansion has hotel accommodations on site. Elements of Glen Cove feel less opulent to me... but your guests being able to stay there is a really big benefit, comfort wise.

Thank you very much @revapril ... we went with the GC Mansion for the fact that there were accommodations for the guests and our room was part of our package. I loved them both, but the GC Mansion just makes me feel like a princess, and thats kind of how every bride should feel right?
