I am curious to hear your thoughts: I am having an evening cocktail wedding and reception in a Victorian mansion with approximately 90 guests. I want to have the wedding ceremony in the "great room", then have our officiant announce that the guests should join us for a toast in the (very sizable) main foyer where we will also have a few speeches. This will give time for the great room to be transformed for the DJ & dance. I would like to have the bar in the foyer, and there is an adjacent sitting room (with a sofa and a few chairs) where I would like to have a whiskey tasting station. My questions are these:
1) With the three areas open for guests, will it promote mingling or will the wedding be disjointed?
2) The guest list is varied in ages but all like to dance. Will having these other areas lessen the no's of people dancing?
3) Should the bar go in the great room with the dancing or is it okay in the main foyer?
