Yes, all on his show is done for free!! The girl Jaime who is from NJ who had the Mummer Themed wedding is on facebook.. & said everything was done for free & she doesn't live far from me.. & either does the other girl who had the Marilyn Monroe theme who is also a Marilyn M. impersonator.. Wow I didnt think he would come this far into South Jersey I should've signed up it would've save me a ton of money, LMAO!! Though I agree with Cuteangel its what u can afford!!

I love David Tutera and think that he is really funny... and I don't think the point of his show is that if that's all you can afford then have sponges for your bouquet. The point of the show is that at any budget you can be elegant and fun and still have a great wedding. A lot of the brides on the show have huge guest lists of like 250 people, if those brides were to cut their guest lists to like 100 or 75 ( and yes I know thats really hard) They could do something much nicer then what they had planned. It's a shame he doesn't work in Florida I would love for him to do my wedding.

I actually disagree. I think the show is a fabulous wedding vendor advertising extravaganza! I mean, it really is fabulous, but that's the whole point of it. To give low cost advertising to their sponsors who pay for it in free products for the wedding and to advertise David Tutera's planning agency.

No one with a real budget can afford any of the ideas on that show. It's really disenchanting really, to see it all and know there's no way, no how, that I can have it that way. Don't you think?

Granted, there are some ideas that are useful. But what I really want is the massive centerpieces, lucite tables, chevari chairs, elegant plate chargers, special lighting effects, and designer cakes. Can't I have it too??? I wanted to apply too and would have if I had time to get married right now. Ours is in June...wish he'd go there, for free. lol

I love David Tutera show and how he transforms the brides. But in reality, it appears that most of those brides do not have a large budget. So I believe the show has to be paying for their wedding. That's why the final product ends up looking twice as nice. That's just my opinion. Smiley smile

I don't think those vendors have any incentive to offer free services/products other than to gain notoriety. Sure I believe in good will but most people are in business to make money not to make friends. I'm not knocking it I think it's brilliant. but I'm a business-minded person so I might be a bit biased lol. Also for some people it's not about saving the extra money. They simply do not have the money period to hire a professional.

At any rate, David's faces are priceless. I assume you guys are talking about the wedding that was Irish, Carribean, 50s-60s glam and they were h aving the wedding at her friends house. Which was SUCH a cozy little home on the inside. Never would have guessed it from looking at the outside of the house. But anyway, when that heffa busted out those damn sponges I wanted to fight her! And I'm pretty sure David did too! LOL!!!

I think what he does is great b/c everyone wins the bride gets a dream wedding and a wedding that is to remmber for sure. plus its for those brides that can't really aford it i think. the one that i think was the worst was the candy themed wedding she wanted to lilpop flowers instead of real ones now thats scary

I agree with cuteangelfan.. some ppl cannot afford all the bells and whistles!! I think its kind of mean when he rolls his eyes, or gasps or squaks when a woman says she is buying her flowers from the local supermarket. I mean... we have to cut costs where we can! I'd love to have an add'l $2500 in my pocket for lush flowers all over the place but we cant all do it. Same with favors and decor.. we are forced to do a LOT of DIY and cut corners where necessary. Such is the life of a Stimulus Package Bride.

LMAO, David does make some DRASTIC as Faces, BUT I mean some of those IDEAS are completely RIDICULOUS when you think about it, I mean the one chick who had the Marilyn Monroe inspired dress just looked like she belonged on the HME ( Hot Mess EXPRESS), because that was messed up, and the SPONGES.... WOW.... REALLY.... but then the other chick who had the lollipops was just doing to much, I mean I can see if she geared it more towards maybe CANDY Land, but she went straight BRIDE of CHARLIE from the Chocolate FACTORY..... that was NUTS, I cain't wait til next week til we get to see chick with the 24k PLATED wedding!!!! that is going to be CLASSIC!!!

I'm sorry that sponge bouquet had to be something they threw in there for effect. This chick didn't seem to really be that tacky. The dress was horrendous. I love his facial expressions. If people want to get on tv and air their wedding ideas then they have to deal with the criticism. I think he is rather nice about it. He never tries to insult someone directly. I do agree with Rosie it does make you want the stuff you can't have!
