Little sister

How can I help include my 14 year old sister in the wedding? She's " too old" for flower girl and I feel like she's too young to really enjoy being a bridesmaid? I think she's feeling left out since yesterday I asked our mom to walk me down the aisle.

Could you make her your personal attendant for the day? She can basically be your go-to for anything and everything you need on the day of. Like helping with communication between you and other wedding party members, the venue and/or catering staff, help you fluff your dress, and anything else you can think of that you might need help with. You can dress her similarly to the bridesmaids, if you want.

I think she's old enough to be bridesmaid myself. My fiance's cousin is the same age and we're debating having her be one.

What kind of stuff are you having them do? I just worry, because I want her to have fun with the older bridesmaids too!

I understand, I just don't want her to feel left out with the older bridesmaids. Especially in regards to the bachelorette party.

They will be doing pretty much everything the older bridesmaids are doing, except the bachelorette of course! I'm involving them in the shower, and they are wearing similar dresses to the bridesmaids but with small tiaras! They are so excited to get ready with me and my BM's the day of.

What kind of tasks do they have? Are they going to the bachelorette party?

I'm also thinking of doing a "spa day" or something with them right before!

I think a junior bridesmaid would be a great idea. Helping with bridal shower things and getting ready with the bridesmaids.
I wouldn't invite her to the bachlorette if your bachlorette is typical. I had a friend who had minimal alcohol at her bachlorette and her 17 year old sister came along no problem.

The cousin lives out of state for us so we're doubtful she'd make it. My fiance's sister is still a teenager too so we weren't planning on anything wild for our bachelorette/bachelor parties over it. Were considering like a spa day, after lunch or a paint night type of deal. Axe throwing is the top fav but you can't bring people under 21 so we'll see.
You could do an early paint night with her and then as it gets late do the bar with your older bridesmaids.

They don’t have any tasks assigned to them, and no they’re not going to the bachelorette party since they’ll only be 14 and 16 at the time of the wedding. I just knew that they’d want to be in my wedding when the time came. I have enough older bridesmaids who are able to get what I need done.

Also since the bachelorette party is 2 days before the wedding we’re having a sleepover the night before which they will come to since we’re all getting ready in the same house the next day.

I don't think my MoH is planning anything crazy, my wedding is even going to be dry. We might do like a weekend get away type thing is the only reason I may not bring her, and that's because of my Mom. I think I may throw a sleepover game night thing for her and my bridesmaids closer to the wedding.

She can read a scripture or pass out the programs- be in charge of passing out the exit supplies (if you’re having an exit). Junior bridesmaid ?

I honestly think she is old enough to be a bridesmaid. My daughter is 10 years old and I wanted her to play a special role in our wedding. I asked her to be my maid of honor. With that being said, my best friend is the matron of honor so she can help fulfill the responsibilities of the maid of honor role. My daughter was beyond excited to be included! My whole point is that really anything goes anymore. As long as you are happy with your decision that’s all that matters. Congrats on your marriage!

I think she’s plenty old enough to be a bridesmaid. My 11 year old niece is a junior bridesmaid for my wedding.
