Literary Table Names.

MrsNewvine, on January 2, 2014 at 7:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

We're using antique books, stacked, for our centerpieces, along with teacup candles. So, instead of doing the typical 1, 2, 3 for tables, we're naming them after famous couples from favorite love stories. I'm thinking we're going to need about 14 names.

I've thought of a couple & included some pictures so you can see our inspiration! We're making the signs with the names & also including a romantic quote from the book on the signs as well.

1. Jo & Frederick (Little Women)

2. Harry Potter & Ginny Weasley (Harry Potter series, I'm a HUGE fan.)

3. Elizabeth & Mr. Darcy (Pride & Prejudice)

4. Romeo & Juliet (Obviously)

5. Gatsby & Daisy (The Great Gatsby)

6. Jamie & Landon (A Walk to Remember)

7. Anne & Gilbert (Anne of Avonlea)

8. Noah & Allie (The Notebook)

Help me think of 5 more!

Here's what we have so far!

    Jane Eyre and Edward Rochester

    Emma Woodhouse and George Knightley

I personally would stick with giving them all first and last names so they are consistent. (Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy)

Are you walking to Mendehlson's Wedding March? It's from his "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

That's wonderful! I'm an actor, but I actually haven't done any shakespeare yet (I usually do more musicals). I should probably get on that :-)

You should do my wedding theme! Haha.

Hmm... I actually hadn't thought about what I would walk down the aisle to yet, but it's a very good idea :-) We are getting a string quartet, so I am waiting until I talk to them, so I can make sure it would sound good in those instruments, but it seems to work pretty well here:

LOL! Thanks Tina :-) I read too much. And love a good classical romance.

Maybe you could pick the ones that have memorable first or last names and only use those I suppose? Maybe first and last is too long for table names?

There are a ton more Jane Austen ones, but they are certainly lesser known.
