Liquor liability insurance

Is there just a policy for liquor liability only? Or do I need to purchase liability insurance for the whole event. My venue only requires liquor liability but I am having trouble finding that alone. Just trying to figure out if there is a cheaper option.

Are you hiring a Bartending service? Or a caterer that provides alcohol? Either of those should have the necessary insurance. Your other option is to call the venue and request them to walk you through the process. If this is something they require of their couples they should be the best resource for how to go about it

A friend who is RAMP certified is bartending for us and we are providing the alcohol. I will ask the venue. Thank you

Hi Sherri! Talking to your venue will definitely help clarify, because if you're bringing in your own bartending caterer, they may need to provide some proof of their certifications since the venue has never worked with them before.
