Lipstick Recommendations?

If you go back and find the makeup Monday post from this week I reviewed three long lasting lipsticks.

I'd mention them here, but I don't remember the name.

One was stila stay all day, the other two were from nyx.

I wore NYX on my wedding day. Only had to reapply once. And none of it stuck to DH. Another vote for NYX liquid suede, here.

Here is a quick list. Below is the full link. I personally recommend Kat Von D., Tom Ford, and Anastasia Beverly Hills lipstick. I really do NOT recommend MAC despite it being the 1st on this list. Also, remember to wear lipstick primer.

Lime crime velvetine matte liquid lipsticks are amazing and reasonably priced! They stay on for 10 hours. Would definitely recommend

I've used lipsence and really liked it. IT DOES NOT COME OFF. I will use it on my wedding day for sure.

Your lips don't feel dry or gross either and I have dry lips. I don't suggest using it two days in a row. It does start to feel dry on day 2 but maybe that's just me.

Seconding the Kat Von D liquid lip

Lipsense. Rimmel makes one similar to lipsense and its called provocalips. I'm a MUA and have literally tried every long lasting lipstick on the market.

I highly recommend the provocalips by Rimmel. The only downside is that they don't have a large variety of colors.

I dislike MLM's usually but Lipsense will not budge through anything. I've woken up after a shower it it still on.

Anastasia makes great liquid lipsticks. I wore their lipstick for my engagement photos and it was long lasting and pretty kiss-proff

How about a lip stain? It won't come off.

LIPSENSE. Definitely lipsense. I would start wearing it about 2-3 weeks before so you can see how you like it and also because some people go through an "exfoliation" phase where their lips begin to peel (it is removing wax build up from other lip products you may have used).

My lips are so soft now with lipsense and it stays ALL day and only requires gloss touch up.

I loveee NXY liquid suede and also love Kat Von D hers last all day.

Start experimenting! Get some samples or travel sizes of all of these recommendations, and see what works best for you.

My favorite of the above mentioned is Stila. I also like NYX. Lipsense I found only works well if you apply three coats of the color.

But my personal all time favorite long wear lipstick is L'Oréal Infallible. Incredible staying power, even with just one coat. AND it's inexpensive (like $13). I prefer it over Lipsense. It doesn't come off until I purposely take it off with makeup remover. Seriously so impressed with it!

I love NYX liquid suede as well! It lasts really well. And if you happen to pick a darker color it will stain your lips, not in a bad way but so that it lasts. This is the shade Copenhagen and this is after a meal.

ETA: I think this is actually one of the NXY soft matte lip creams, but practically the same thing.

Throwing in another lipsense recommendation! I hardly ever wear make-up so I was interested in trying lipsense out since I don't want to worry about reapplying on the wedding day. Ordered 2 colours and got them last week and I'm obsessed now! I put it on at 11 PM when I first got it because I was dying to try it, went to sleep, and it still looked perfect the next day and stayed looking great until I went to bed again. They have a ton of colour options too!
