Lip plumper

Pinotgirl, on March 31, 2015 at 2:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14

So I have very fine lips which I didn't even realize until the nice lady at the makeup counter pointed it out. Does anyone have any products they like to make your lips more full? I don't usually wear makeup so I am pretty clueless on all these things!

I would not suggest any kind of lip plumping devise, as it reacts to everyone differently. I would actually, honestly say that you don't need to change a thing about your lips! I have thin lips as well, I have used a lipgloss that acted as a lip plumper. Even cheaper brands such as N.Y.C. and Hard Candy make lip-plumping/volumizing lip glosses sold at drugstores.

Try a lip liner close to the color of your lipstick! But don't listen to the lady at the makeup counter... they WANT you to feel bad and buy more products! Smiley smile

I think Revlon has one called Just Bitten, if not Revlon another OTC brand. I liked it and they had great colors. I would also play with using liner/stain to line along the outside of your lip, enhancing the cupid's bow and pout. There are tricks with using a darker liner to line the corners and a lighter one in the middle, drawing focus to the fullest part of your lips.

I am a sephora addict... but I LOVE the Buxom line of lip glosses. They all have plumper in them =)

AND I am not sure what brand it is, but there is a clear gloss called Sexy Mother Plumper... i love it! I usually put it ontop of the lipstains i use to make it glossier.

Don't let that lady make you feel self conscious. That being said. Make sure to test any lip pumpers ahead of time. A lot of them have agitators in them, so some people have bad reactions to them.

Look for lip plumpers that contain hyaluronic acid and NOT capsacin. HA is an emollient that draws moisture into your skin, making it look plumper and feel softer.

Capsacin based plumpers are an irritant that plump your lips by drawing blood to the surface because your body thinks it's fighting off a poison! It's like rubbing jalepenos on your lips to plump them.

Ha, I love the plumping feeling, but weather or not it actually does anything is up for debate. Sexy Mother Pucker is by Soap and Glory Smiley smile

" I didn't even realize until the nice lady at the makeup counter pointed it out. "

Sorry but tell her to gtfo. I don't care if she's the nicest person in the world... pointing out "flaws" is just rude. BTW, that's not a flaw, and I'd say not to worry about it. Those products can give you an adverse effect. If you didn't realize that you had "fine" lips before, then it's doubtful anybody but the person trying to sell you something realized it either.
