Lining your aisle with petals?

Jesse's Boo, on June 14, 2014 at 2:01 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 22

Is anyone lining their aisle with petals? If so, are you using real or fake ones?

(Update) going to get fresh petals from wholeblossom.com. 6000 petals for $130! Florist was going to charge $200!

I am not lining the aisle, I will have an actual pattern, like the picture. Using real petals through my florist, who will do the pattern.

I was going to use real, but that was going to be an extra $300. I'm now looking into fake petals if my venue allows them.

Check with your venue to see what they will allow.

On the beach, fake petals (every last one) have to be picked up. Real are biodegradable.

@Stacelynn, do you mind my asking what Etsy seller you used?

We'll probably be doing it but we have to do fake, our venue won't allow for real loose flowers because they can get ground up into the carpet.

Probably not lining aisle but using fake. Our venue has a white marble floor and only fake are allowed to be tossed. I got mine on ebay too for dirt cheap and ordered probably 2x what I will need, but oh well. They will be sprinkled on tables at reception also.

Check with your venue since most outdoors venue will only allow real petals since they are biodegradable or fake ones that are glued down to something. Indoor venues will usually allow fake since they can't mess up any floors.

I'm using freeze dried petals, they are real petals but not as expensive: http://www.petalgarden.com/freeze-dried-rose-petals.htm

The company has a very handy calculator and also sells samples. You may want to check out if it will save you even more.

I am actually using fake petals since real ones stain. I am going to make a homemade ombre petal runner. You can get petals in pink, white or red from dollar general.

We got ours from costco for $86. Idk how much it would have been through our florist, but more than that I'm sure. We had enough to line the aisle, for the flower girl, for guests to toss at the end of the ceremony and to sprinkle on our cake/welcome/sweetheart tables.
