The caterer is supplying black tablecloths at no extra charge to us but if we don't want black then it's up to us to get the color we want.
How would it look if we just got table runners in our colors for the tables? Would it be tacky?

Using black table cloths will make the color of the runner pop unless your colors will clash with the black. Like if your colors were baby blue, blush and peach, I wouldn't use black linen.

No I think if the tables are decent, just a runner could be really nice! Unless you mean the color over black. It's not my style, but I'm sure you could make it work. 😊 I do think black is a harsh color, so it would probably need to integrate into the theme since that's so many tables and so much black.
