Linebacker in a dress Lol?

Katie , on January 31, 2018 at 7:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21
Hi everyone! I'm a long time "lurker" first time "poster"...lol anyways, my FH and I are getting married on 9/8/18 after 12 years together, wahoo!

I need help or suggestions.. I've always been very broad and bigger in the chest, shoulders and back areas and while I LOVE my dress, I feel I look like a linebacker in it LOL.. does anyone have any suggestions to lose weight or give the illusion of weight loss in those areas?

Thanks so much! ❤

Well you look stunning. What type of veil are you thinking? That might soften things a little. But the dress looks fabulous on you!

Thank you! I'm planning on wearing a 10ft plain and simple, pencil edged cathedral veil..

Your dress is gorgeous on you! I agree that a veil will help soften the look.

You look lovely in your dress! The veil will be a nice addition. Also, if it's an option, would you consider wearing your hair down, with some soft curls? That might also soften the look overall. But, not matter what you do, you look and happy & beautiful!

Lovely dress! I agree with the hair down (maybe extensions to get that romantic curly/wavy look?).

I’ve personally been trying to incorporate a lot of Lat workouts in the gym to get and eliminate the stubborn bra strap fat I have. Pull downs and rowing are good for that

Thank you.. I'm definitely open to wearing my hair down, it's pretty long and holds a curl well. I'd just be afraid of it not staying pretty all day/night and because I'm a dancing fool, I will sweat like crazy lol

Thanks, I'm currently looking into buying a Kettle bell set, I've heard great things about them and their workouts so we shall see!

You look gorgeous, and not at all linebacker-y! The dress balances you out nicely. 😊

Also agree you're being too hard on yourself. You look strong and muscular, not at all "heavy." You may want to consult with an athletic trainer before your begin any particular set of exercises you think might re-contour you. Daughter used to be involved in a sports activity that used her arms & upper-back a lot, and all that use & training definitely made her shoulders and back look "more developed" not less. So, if you undertake a specific plan, make sure it's likely to give you the results you want and not further enhance your more muscular build.

Again, you look great, so I'd try to adjust your mindset rather than your body. Smiley heart

Thank you! same as your daughter, I'm an athlete and this is just how my build has always been for the most part lol.. just trying to look "softer" on my wedding day I suppose. I'm definitely going to seek out a trainer for those exact reasons, and again thank you!
