Limo snack boxes!

Julia Beth, on July 2, 2014 at 4:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 14

A few years ago I was in a wedding and the bride very thoughtfully stocked the limo up with snacks for between the ceremony and the reception. We were all starving and it was such a great touch.

I've been planning to stock up on snacks for the limo since the get-go, but I just came up with what I think is a really cute idea of doing individual snack boxes/bags for the bridal party.

What do you think? What would be some good suggestions/what would YOU want included?

What about a cracker and cheese tray, nuts, a fruit arrangement or granola bars?

Oh! That is a great idea! I have to make a mental note to try and remember to do something like this for our bridal party!

I think this is a great idea, too! I typically eat small meals every 3 hours, so I can't imagine eating lunch then not eating again until dinner is served at 6:00. Plus we will probably have at least one celebratory drink on our way from the ceremony to the reception, so we definitely don't want to do that on an empty stomach.

I might pack a cooler with small deli sandwiches or something to keep in the vehicle (or designate that task to FH, since all he has to do the morning-of is shower & get dressed!).

    Great idea!

A coooler is a great idea! I'll have to think of that. I've been racking my brain thinking of things that won't melt and don't need to be refrigerated.

So far I'm thinking: granola bars/protein bars, an apple or other kind of fruit/veggie, Pirate's Booty, oatmeal pies, bottled water, beef jerky for the guys and something sweet for the girls.

@Cristi...the thing I would worry about with sandwhiches would be the condiments dripping on my dress or the bridesmaids dresses...

    @JuliaBeth:

I think you are off to a great start with the proteins, as everyone will need the energy. You could also think of:

    -Summer sausage

-Cheese (string cheese would be a good one!)

    -crackers

    -cookies

    -Popcorn

    -Trail Mix

-Non chocolate candies (you dont want to take the chance of someone sitting on it and melting on their a$$!)

Just dont do anything that will get stuck in teeth unless you have floss! granola, popcorn, etc. but find their favorite sweet & savory snacks and pack it up!

Oh yeah I plan on doing that too!! I remembered my lesson at my SIL's wedding! We are starving cause we hadn't eaten anything all day and I was getting a huge headache!! That's why this time around we are having "emergency snacks" for my FH and I or else we are going to get super cranky and we don't want that for our special day LOL

Such a great idea -- if I was doing a limo I would totally steal it Smiley smile we have a catered breakfast/buffet for the bridal party while getting ready so it's sort of a moot point for us Smiley sad but if it was me, I'd stick to things that can't spill or cause a mess and will keep them FULL (especially if booze is involved).

Dried fruit (because it's my favorite)

    Almonds or trailmix

    Granola bars

    Favorite Candy

    Water

We're having sandwiches, chips, salad and fruit catered in our hotel suites while we get ready. We are also splitting a case of prosecco between the rooms. The wedding is at 3pm and the reception starts at 5pm, so we shouldn't need anything in the limo.
